Autumn is the most romantic time
on Prince Edward Island.
Everywhere you look you are surrounded by
the breathtaking colours of fall leaves in their
most glorious display of the year!
You hear the crunch of leaves underfoot and
the call of bluejays as you explore the trails
in the National Parks.
You savour the sweet and tangy crunch of apples
fresh-picked from local orchards.
Dinner for two is an incredible experience during
Fall Flavours as you feast on fresh,
local food at the peak of deliciousness.
The medley of flavours will make your tastebuds sing!
This is the time to stroll through quaint little shops and studios
as the talents of Island artists and artisans are
featured in the Studio Tours.
During October 18th - 30th
The Haunted Mansion
invites children and the faint of heart
to visit its spooky halls during daylight hours
and the exceptionally brave to
experience "Nights of Fear" -
if they dare!
November brings us
Christmas Craft Fairs
in every corner of the Island
with a host of hand-made delights.
From mammoth events that you almost
need a map to navigate your way through,
to cozy little Small Hall venues -
this is the perfect way to start
the Christmas season.
Have some fun and find your way through a Corn Maze,
brave the halls of the Haunted Mansion,
have your picture taken at a Scarecrow Contest,
or settle back for a cozy ride by Horse and Carriage.
Most of all, enjoy the Island pace,
and each other.
"Victoria Inn is indeed a gem on the Gentle Island.
Hosts Leighton & Camellia are warm and welcoming. Breakfasts are exceptional - five star plus - fit for
a King or Queen. Victoria herself would be delighted. Breakfasts are beautifully presented.
The Island has an abundance of B&Bs - lots of choice -
this should be on your top priority list.
Victoria Inn is an Island Treasure."

Come to the Gentle Island!
"This has been the most relaxing stay
we have ever had!
The service is friendly, the food delicious,
the atmosphere relaxed and private,
and the room was divine!
We'll be talking about our stay here to all our
friends & family back home for a long time.
We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Victoria Inn was built in 1909 by Robert Humphrey,
a prominent Silver Fox rancher who revolutionized
the fox farming industry by building sheds for the foxes.
It may sound simple, but it is this innovative thinking that is credited
with saving the fox farming industry on the Island
from being wiped out by disease.
As a result he was able to raise stunning animals that took the prize
in numerous competitions throughout the course of his career,
including two World Championships!
The Cottage-Style Suites are located on the site of the former stables,
as Robert was also an avid horseman
with prize-winning standard bred showhorses.
What is now Victoria Inn started out as his family home.
Roseleaf Manor, thought to be the oldest home in Kensington,
was built in 1872 by Reuben Tuplin, a successful merchant.
It was purchased by the Kennedy's and was their family home for 100 years
before becoming part of the Victoria Inn family in 2013.
Victoria Inn is a B & B
